We are happy to announce that Omnicliq won the Google Export Guru competition once again this year, taking first prize in the Travel category with the Let's Ferry project.
About Google Export Guru
Google Export Guru is a competition run across multiple European markets that rewards agencies delivering the strongest international growth results for their clients. It is specifically focused on cross-border campaigns — the work of taking a domestic business and making it perform in markets where the brand, language, and consumer behaviour are all different.
The competition is judged by Google country teams and evaluates both the business outcome (revenue, pipeline, market share gained) and the discipline of the underlying work (account structure, bidding strategy, creative localisation, measurement).
Let's Ferry as Travel category winner
The winning entry was our work with Let's Ferry — the Greek online ferry-booking platform now serving bookings from over 140 countries. The campaign took an established domestic operator and scaled it into European and international markets, pairing Google's cross-border tooling with localisation work per market and a bidding strategy tuned to ferry-season patterns that do not generalise from one country to another.
What impressed the judges was not the absolute revenue number — it was the efficiency of the scaling. Most cross-border growth programmes sacrifice efficiency on the way up; we held it while opening new markets, which is the harder and more replicable result.
What the recognition signals
Winning the Travel category in Google Export Guru — not for the first time — tells us the international playbook we have built around Let's Ferry and similar clients is producing results Google itself is willing to showcase. For clients thinking about their own cross-border expansion, the practical implication is that Omnicliq has patterns that are proven to work in the Greek → international direction: which audiences to open with, where to localise creative and where to leave it, how to structure the feed and bidding, and what measurement to put in place before the spend scales.
That is the playbook behind this award — and it is the one we bring to any client thinking seriously about moving beyond their home market.
