The Politikos Department Store is the largest regional store of its kind in Greece. It stocks a large variety of products and a great number of well-known brands for women, men and children. Since 2017, it ventured into e-commerce with the vision of becoming a "must visit" online fashion destination. In 2019, it was one of the projects on the Greek market to take part in Google International Growth, and it has already taken its first steps beyond the border to two new markets.

    • Brief

The objective of this particular implementation is to distribute the available budget and adjust account bidding in a way that can maximize the return on advertising spend.

    • Solution

The solution was found in combining two probability theory models. The models used were the Markov Chain to analyse channel and campaign paths, combined with Multi-Armed Bandit, which solves the problem where the total resources (budget) must be distributed in a random selection sequence (channels and campaigns) so as to maximize the projected profit (project profitability).
